On May 31, the equipment operation & maintenance management system of Yingde Gases Group was formally put into operation at Changshu Yingde.

With the internationally leading management philosophy and standard as the basis, the EMM system creates technical databases such as equipment and spare part data, failure information and preventive maintenance plan for routine equipment maintenance and technical analysis, which not only improves operation security and reliability, but also gathers rich practice information for construction and operation & maintenance of new projects. The EMM system builds a “headquarters- area-plant” integrated maintenance management system, which can provide up-to-bottom data support for all managers, speed up preparation and implementation of technical and financial policies, and further improve group’s operation management efficiency.

Formal operation of this system is the key for the Group to strengthen security and reliability management and is even the milestone for the Group’s operation and management to move toward informatization and standardization and reach the advanced level in the industry.

Since this EMM project kicked off in mid-April, the project team has completed cumbersome preparatory work such as information collection, review, import, system debugging and operation training in an efficient and high-quality manner. Therefore, the project cycle is reduced much and this system planned to operate at the end of June operates in advance. As Yan Wei said, “the EMM system was put into operation at Changde Yingde due to effort from all members of Yingde project and each cooperative partner. As the saying goes, ‘Everything's hard in the beginning’. Now we had a good beginning and believed that the EMM system would be put into operation at other plants smoothly. I hoped that everyone could continue efforts together to make the information system cover all air separation plants inside the group quickly and make secure, stable, efficient and advanced operation management become the footing stone and drive for great development of the group!”

From Jun to Aug, the EMM system had been put into operation consecutively at other four trial plants and would be promoted at other air separation plants this year. Ben Shishan emphasized, “To make the advanced system play its role, high-quality data input and analysis was required. Therefore, we would strengthen training of operators and managers on the next stage, make informatization achievements serve for production, boost sustainable improvements of the group, and keep advanced.”
