Baosteel Gases’ Participation in The Construction of a Major Project Recognized as "High-Quality Engineering in the Chemical Industry"

In November 2021, the 300,000-ton/year coal-to-ethylene glycol project of Weihe Binzhou Chemical, in whose construction Baosteel Gas participated, was awarded the title "High-Quality Engineering in the Chemical Industry" by the China National Association of Chemical Construction Industry Enterprises. The list of "High-Quality Engineering Projects in the Chemical Industry" was selected by the China National Association of Chemical Construction Industry Enterprises, aiming to advocate quality improvement and engineering excellence, and to achieve the innovative, green, and high-quality development of the chemical construction industry.

The 300,000-ton/year coal-to-ethylene glycol project of Weihe Binzhou Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. is the earliest coal-to-ethylene glycol project approved in Shaanxi Province, and has a leading and demonstrative role in Shaanxi, a large coal-producing province. In 2018, Baosteel Gases and Weihe Binzhou Chemical Co., Ltd. reached a cooperative agreement and decided to establish Xianyang Baosteel Gases to build and operate a 60,000-class air separation plant to supply customers with products such as oxygen, nitrogen, and liquid nitrogen.

During construction, the Baosteel Gases project team strictly adhered to the safety and quality parameters, and completed the delivery with a unit project quality qualification rate of 100%, an excellent and good rate of over 85%, and no major accidents. The construction safety, project quality, and on-site management levels were highly praised by Weihe Binzhou Chemicals and all cooperating units. It has also won the full affirmation of the China National Association of Chemical Construction Industry Enterprises.
