Yingde Gases Supports Topping-Out of Cold Box for Gansu Juhua Silicon-Fluorine New Materials Project
On December 30, 2025, the core equipment for the "High-Performance Silicon-Fluorine New Materials Integrated Project" of Gansu Juhua New Materials Co., Ltd.—a 6,000 Nm³/h skid-mounted air separation cold box designed and manufactured by Yingde Gases and EPC-contracted by China Air Separation Engineering Co., Ltd.—was successfully topped out. As one of the leading industrial projects in Gansu Province, its advancement holds significant importance for supporting the development of Gansu's new materials industry, promoting industrial chain extension, upgrading, integration, and is dedicated to achieving domestic substitution of high-performance silicon-fluorine new materials.
This skid-mounted air separation cold box is a critical piece of equipment for ensuring stable gas supply in the production of silicon-fluorine new materials. Internally integrated with precision components such as distillation columns and heat exchangers, it separates air and extracts high-purity oxygen and nitrogen through cryogenic processes, imposing stringent requirements on installation precision and environmental control. The topping-out of this cold box was collaboratively completed by Yingde Engineering (a subsidiary of Yingde Gases), China Air Separation, and Juhua Group.
During construction, the project team tackled challenges including crane operations in extreme cold condition. Backed by extensive installation experience, Yingde Engineering's technical team carefully assessed key parameters such as equipment weight and hoisting angles, and ensured precise assembly and calibration of cold box accessories. This approach minimized weather-related precision risks, providing reliable technical support for cold box hoisting and alignment, thereby enhancing both safety and efficiency throughout the construction process.
The successful topping-out of the 6,000 Nm³/h skid-mounted air separation cold box lays the groundwork for commissioning and operation. Upon completion, the project will drive the growth of Gansu's silicon-fluorine new materials industry, assist Yumen in establishing a key industrial base in Northwest China, and strengthen the regional high-end chemical manufacturing ecosystem.
