Yingde Gases' 60,000 Nm³/h ASU Commissioned to Power Longmen Steel's Green Upgrade
On February 4, 2026, Yingde Gases brought on stream a 60,000 Nm³/h air separation unit (ASU) for Shaanxi Longmen Steel (“Longmen Steel”) ahead of schedule with qualified oxygen delivery. The ASU will provide stable, reliable gas supply to support Longmen Steel's upgrade, strengthening both operational competitiveness and long-term sustainability.
The ASU for this project was constructed by Yingde Engineering, a subsidiary of Yingde Gases, and serves as a key enabler of Longmen Steel'senergy structure optimization and emissions-reduction upgrade. Leveraging its ASU expertise, Yingde Engineering deployed energy-efficient and intelligent technologies—including advanced controls, OKS 3.0, automated filling, significantly cutting costs and construction time. The facility will supply Longmen Steel with high-quality, low-cost oxygen and nitrogen to boost efficiency and process performance in ironmaking, steelmaking and beyond.
Facing delayed start, tight schedules, and weather challenges, the project team upheld the principle of "safety first, quality foremost". With smart safety systems and end-to-end quality control, they identified and mitigated risks early, enabling efficient, stable commissioning under full control. Construction works were carried out in parallel to get additional time for subsequent equipment installation.
Liu Jingwu, General Manager of Yingde Engineering, said:“The successful commissioning of this ASU marks a key step for Longmen Steel in building greener, smarter energy infrastructure, while also demonstrating Yingde Engineering's integrated delivery and innovative execution capabilities in large-scale industrial gas projects. We remain committed to providing customers with efficient, reliable, and green gas solutions.”
