Yingde Gases Invests in Qujing Huashan Chemical Industrial Park to Empower the Green Circular Economy

Recently, building on the strong foundation of Shanghai-Yunnan cooperation, Yingde Gases and Qujing City, Yunnan Province, have established a deep collaboration on a large-scale coke oven flue gas recycling and co-production project. The project focuses on the circular utilization of industrial by-products such as coke oven flue gas and coke powder, injecting new momentum into extending, supplementing, and strengthening Qujing's traditional coking industry chain, promoting energy conservation and carbon reduction, and fostering high-quality development of the real economy, thereby significantly advancing Qujing's efforts to become a leading center for advanced manufacturing in Yunnan.

As Yunnan's deputy central city and the province's second-largest economy, Qujing boasts abundant coal resources and a well-established coal chemical industry. The Huashan Chemical Industry Park serves as a key hub for Qujing's coal chemical sector, featuring a high concentration of coking industries that consistently generate substantial amounts of surplus high-quality resources such as coke oven gas and coke powder. Additionally, Qujing enjoys unique advantages in power supply security—characterized by coordinated integration of wind, solar, hydropower, and thermal energy—with a solid foundation for "integrated source-grid-load-storage" development, enabling it to provide ample and stable green electricity for energy-intensive industries like coal chemicals. These distinctive resource endowments and industrial strengths make Qujing the optimal location for this project expansion initiative.

Upon completion, the project will annually utilize surplus coke oven gas and coke powder within the region to produce high-value-added products such as LNG, ethanol, synthetic ammonia, and high-purity hydrogen.
This initiative not only addresses gaps in the industrial chain of the park and resolves development challenges associated with the traditional coking industry's reliance on single resource utilization and low product value-added, but also fosters a closed-loop industrial system encompassing "resource recovery – circular utilization – product empowerment," thereby supporting Qujing's goal of becoming a benchmark region for circular economy and green manufacturing in southwestern China.

Yingde Gases is a leading independent provider of industrial gases and engineering service solutions in China. We supply a full range of industrial gases—including oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, and syngas—to industries such as metallurgy, chemical engineering, new energy, and electronics/semiconductors, while also offering integrated supporting services for thermal power generation, wastewater treatment, and near-zero environmental emissions. The company currently operates over 150 gas production facilities nationwide and internationally. Yingde Gases possesses mature core technologies in industrial gas production and exhaust gas treatment, and has successfully implemented the "Energy Gas Hub" model to achieve centralized, intelligent, and low-carbon unified gas supply for industrial parks. As early as 2019, Yingde Gases established the gas plant in Qujing, where its invested air separation project was successfully commissioned, providing high-quality industrial gases to Qujing and surrounding markets and empowering local enterprises in their high-quality development.

Fang Jingsong, CEO of Yingde Gases, stated: "Qujing's superior resources, industrial ecosystem, strategic location, and advantages in green energy make it an ideal base for Yingde Gases' expansion into the southwestern market. The company will fully leverage its cutting-edge technologies, proven operational expertise, and market advantages to ensure the high-quality development of our projects. Currently, Yingde Gas is strategically evolving from an 'industrial gas supplier' to a 'specialized partner providing gas solutions and industrial service packages,' empowering clients with 'industrial services combined with intelligent technologies' to support their low-carbon transitions and industrial upgrades. Moving forward, Yingde Gases will deepen government-enterprise collaboration with Qujing, introduce advanced technologies such as industrial services, hydrogen energy, and carbon capture, and harness the synergy between Shanghai and Yunnan to jointly pioneer a new chapter of green, low-carbon, and mutually beneficial industrial development."
